Geranium x cantabrigiense 'Biokovo' is a mat-forming perennial with delicate white flowers tinged with pink. Growing 6-8 inches tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide, this hybrid Geranium is an excellent groundcover or edging plant. The deeply lobed, soft green foliage transitions to vibrant shades of red, orange, and burgundy in autumn, while clusters of five-petaled blooms appear from late spring through summer. 'Biokovo' prefers well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil and partial shade to full sun, though it is drought-tolerant once established, making it a low-maintenance choice for rock gardens, border fronts, and slopes. Deadheading spent blooms can prolong flowering, while division in early spring will help maintain the plant's vigor. PPA plant of the year for 2015.
